Introduction: Mitomycin C is a scratch-like Streptomyces medium separation and extraction of a broad-spectrum anti-tumor antibiotics, anti-cancer effects on a variety ofcancers.
Pharmacological effects: mechanism of action of mitomycin C is mainly alkylation, andlogic to form the double helix of DNA cross-linking. Physical properties: blue-violet crystals or crystalline powder, in the ampoule in acicular or columnar, melting point 360 C. Soluble in water, the aqueous solution of acid, alkali, light, heat are unstable at pH 6 to 9 pm more stable; also soluble in methanol, acetone, butyl acetate; slightly soluble in benzene, carbon tetrachloride, ether, insoluble in petroleumether. Crystalline powder, very stable, 100 C heating 4 hours without reducing potency.
