Specification :

Ceftriaxone is used as a treatment of infections of the lower respiratory tract, skin and skin structures, bone and joint, urinary tract; treatment of pelvic inflammatory disease, intra-abdominal infections, gonorrhea, meningitis, and septicemia caused by susceptible microorganisms; preoperative prophylaxis. Ceftriaxone is also used as a treatment of Lyme disease in patients refractory to penicillin G.
