BODY ARMOR VEST

Design Features:

Tabard style Vest with protection panels to cover the front, back and shoulders. It can also be fitted with detachable neck, groin, and deltoid panels. The Garment design allows for interchange ability and upgrading of Armor protection levels according to the customer' s requirements.

Special Features:

The Vest has an Emergency Dumping System that interconnects shoulders, cummerbund. and waist fasteners. The Vest literally falls off by pulling on the chest mounted release cord. This mechanism also facilitates the size adjustment which is 5cm over the shoulders and 10cm around the waist.
A matrix of 25mm webbing allows the fitting of MOLLE accessory pockets. Integrated rifle butt supports ensure a solid shooting platform.
Flexibility and low weight enables the jacket to be warm comfortably for long periods of duty without restricting wearer manoeuvrability.

Outer Garment:

The Vest' s outer garment is made of high quality 500D Nylon fabric that is washable and specially treated to be water and repellent, abrasion resistant, and flame retardant.

The inner most layer is made with open mesh fabric to facilitate air and water flow around the torso. All camouflage designs and solid colours can be made to customer requirements.

Armor Panels:

The Soft Armor Panels are made with 100% Aramid Uni-Directional laminate that provides protection against Pistol and Sub-Machine Gun Bullets and Blast Fragments.

When tested in accordance with JIJ 0101.06 the Soft Armor has the following are density:

--NIJ II for 9mm SMG at 398 m/ s is 3.3 kg/ m2

--NIJ IIIA for 44 Magnum at 436 m/ s is 5.6 kg/ m2

The Soft Armor Panels are encapsulated in waterproof and UV lightproof Nylon fabric that is vacuum-sealed and welded ultrasonically.
