PRP Polymeric Reversed Phase Poly( styrene-divinylbenzene) HPLC Columns are used in quality assurance as well as research and development laboratories because they last significantly longer than silica-based reversed phase columns. This is particularly true for difficult analyses like: high pH samples ( pH 8-13) ; labile or reactive samples ( irreversible adsorption) ; high aqueous purifications ( 80-100% water) ; and separations with ion pairing reagents. HxSil silica-based columns are ideal for applications where a higher efficiency reversed phase C8 or C18 column is needed.

Silica Packings

Hamilton HxSil C8 and C18 columns exhibit greater retention than most columns. This allows the separation of compounds that are not sufficiently retained on other C8 or C18 columns.
