Leaks in compressed air pipes, valve and fittings can cost thousand - even in small plants. Plants noise can make it difficult to find them. The circuitry of our new Ultrasonic Leak detector (ULD) takes out the guess work. The ULD is able to mask out the surrounding plant noise and can hear the leaks that are outside a person's normal range of hearing.

Consider one small leak that is equivalent to a 1/16" diameter hole. At 80 PSIG, it consumes 3.8 SCFM (Standar Cubic Feet per Minute) or 108 SLPM (Standard Liters Per Minute). Most large plants know their air cost. If you don't know your actuall cost per 1,000 SCF (Standard Cubic Feet) a reasonable average is $.25 per 1,000 SCF (28,329 Standar Liters).
