Background

Multi-dimensional crisis that hit the Indonesian nation in 1998, greatly affect the joints of people' s lives. Many factories had to close or have to reduce the quantity of products, so many workers affected by layoffs. This resulted in soaring unemployment. The increase in prices out of control, resulting in poor growing up so many times. And the saddest part is that students are forced to quit school / college, thereby increasing the number of illiterate persons to more than 12 million people across Indonesia. This is if not addressed will cause a tremendous explosion in the future. Ignorance and poverty is a source of disaster for the nation and State.

Center for Community Learning Activities ( PKBM) Baitul Ilmi, moved to participate in rescuing the nation and the State to empower people through education outside of school.

Goal

Baitul PKBM Ilmi which was founded in 2004 in the village of No 03/ 03 RT Cipambuan. 45 Kec. Babakan Madang Kab. Bogor by M. Fajar Junariyata, S. Kom., M. Kom., Aims to:

assist residents, especially school youth, unemployed and less able to obtain free education and skills in quality and sound environment so that more powerful and prosperous.
