The Soft Shell is completely waterproof, and suited for all kinds of weather. The Soft Shell has lined with a fleece layer that holds in body heat, but lets moisture escape. When the heat is on, just open the zippered ventilation ports at the underarms and lower back to increase airflow. The forearms are re-enforced to handle rugged operations.

The tactical design of the Soft Shell is incredibly impressive. The collar has a waterproof hood that can be stowed away, or velcro' ed flat against the back. The draw strings for the hood are neatly stowed away in the two large chest pockets, along with D-rings, and smaller sub-pockets. Each sleeve has a shoulder pocket and 4x4 inch velcro panel, and the left side has an additional forearm pocket. Two of the pockets ( one on the shoulder and one on the chest) have media ports with small rubberized holes, clearing way to run headphones inside the jacket.

The Soft Shell is layered with materials to work in any environment. This durable, waterproof, lightweight, breathable fabric contains billions of microscopic pores smaller than a raindrop, but hundred times larger than a molecule of water vapor. The triple layer combination wicks moisture, stops water from passing through, and circulates body heat.
