BASSAN/ IHLAS, established in 1975, has been producing rear brake shoes in Istanbul/ TURKEY since 1993. Our company has been increasing its investments since that date and has continuously increased product variety and production quantity, in order to be able to meet increasing local and foreign demands both for cars and commercial vehicles. Today our company, which is a leader in Turkey with its high production capacity, has increased its annual production quantity to 800, 000 sets and as a result of our Total Quality Management, we obtained the ISO 9001: 2000 Quality management System Certification during the year 2004.
In accordance with ISO 9001: 2000 standards, our factory has quality control at three different points: Entrance Control, Process Control and Final Control. In the entrance stage, quality control of the raw materials and semi-finished products used in production is made. In the Process stage problems that may occur during production and control for product defects is made. During the Final stage control of the finished product is made. Our company aims to maintain customer satisfaction at the highest level.
20% of total production is exported to such countries as Ukraine, Bulgaria, Morocco, Algeria, Russia, Jordan Romania and Yugoslavia.
During the year 2004, our company achieved excellent progress towards its targets, particularly with 80% in production, 80% in sales and 93% in revenues. Our target in 2005 is to meet the demands of the local and foreign automobile spare parts market, by increasing our available products range by ( 80% ) and our production capacity by ( 50% ) . Our company, appreciating the value of research, has targeted a 5.8% share of total 2005 revenues for the function of Research and Development.
In 2005, our company will continue its emphasis on maintaining customer satisfaction, a vital part of Total Quality Management.
We produce top quality brake shoes at highly competitive prices, due to our specialization in one-production area-only rear brake shoes.
