Hip Tri-Protectors is an innovative undergarment to prevent hip fracture, designed
with lateral removable pads for easy cleaning and a triple defense system against
unexpected impact, with its shock absorber, outer shield, and air bag. During a fall,
impact force is reduced and absorbed simultaneously thanks to the multi-protection
system, avoiding a direct hit on the greater trochanter. This anatomically fit and
easy-dry undergarment is suitable for daily wear, designed for elderly or patient
prone to falls.
Triple-Defense System
Shock Absorber : The foam directly absorbs the impact on the greater trochanter
of femur; meanwhile, it directs the remaining shock to underlying layers, to avoid a
hard hit on the fragile hip area.
Outer Shield : The PE shield works as a " shunter" . Impact is dissipated toward the
rim of the shield to minimize the unexpected shock onto the hip joint.
Air Bag : The light and soft air cushion ensures user compliance and lessens most
impact onto the soft tissue around the hip joint with its fluid air cushion.
