11 SOLAR POWER GENERATOR APPARATUS 1
Design to provide a means of empirically, investigating
solar Power, solar power is convertwd to electrical energy
by the cell array. The electrical energy can then be used
to drive a small motor, or store in battries. In order that
the performance of the cell arrat may be investigated the
cells can be connecter to an adjustable load bank.
Instrument are provided to measure voltageand current
across the cell array. The stored energy can then be used
to drive the small motor mounted on top of the control
unit. The motor is filled ith a belt dynamometer to absorb
the power 1 acilitres are provided on the control unit so
that recorders can be used to make a permanent rocord
of the cell output. This facility enables the unit ti be set up
and the available power to be monitored for an entire day,
thus providing valuable information as to power
availability. additional instrument measure curent to the
