    SNAKES FOR SAFETY

    Quantity Order:

    Specification :

An oil and gas companies to use new ways of K3 their campaign.

After seeing a lot of work accidents experienced by the contractors, an oil and gas company in South Africa using a new way of campaigning for Occupational Health and Safety ( K3) in their work environment. Under banners reading " Snakes for Safety" , there are snakes that are used as a symbol of life in K3 campaign to reduce occupational accidents in the company. The result is enough to attract the attention of the employees at the company, so they become more concerned with safety when working.

K3 campaign idea by using the snake came from Rick Melvill, the creative director of a creative communications company in South Africa. He thinks that the few cases that he encountered in oil and gas company, K3 campaign in the companies are very less attention and response from its employees. By utilizing the " fear of the evil that threatens at any time" , he uses a symbol or metaphor of a snake in the corporate enterprise K3 campaign to attract more attention and remind the employees always behave safely and be aware of potential hazards in the workplace that could threaten anybody. Its application is to bring live snakes ( and their handlers who handle it) in an interactive seminar for socialization messages or messages K3 K3 as a complement existing campaigns in the company.

K3 campaign by using the snake K3 convey three messages associated with the potential hazards that could potentially lead to accidents. 3 messages " Snakes for Safety" is:

Some potential hazards in the workplace such as Puff adder ( a poisonous snake species from Africa) who quietly does not appear until some time without realizing it and then we stepped on a poisonous snake that came into effect.

Several other potential hazards such as Black Mamba snake ( black snake type of highly venomous and aggressive from Africa) , they are aggressively pursuing you ( such as fire or methane gas) .

Some potential hazards as well as pythons, while still small they are harmless, but when it grows large, non-venomous snake that needs to be aware ( because they are dangerous and powerful coil) .

Priority remains the safety at work and hopefully we can still be more creative in the campaign K3 in the workplace for the safety of our own natural and fellow coworkers.

    Regards Safety
