The materials used in NBC suits consist of two main layers: The outer layer is oil and water repellent. A flame retardant finishing is optionally provided.
The inner one, the activated carbon filter layer, is available in two types:
- PU-foam, impregnated with activated carbon.
- Spherical activated carbon coated on textile.
