Qinqin, Thanks for sending the picture. It is a nice souvenir of our time together. We enjoyed out dinner and spent yesterday at the Expo.I am very satisfied with your services as a guide and translator. You are punctual, organized, and flexible. I especially appreciate your willingness to work out details in advance and to suggest itineraries that are efficient for visitors with a limited amount of time to visit a very large city. Your spoken English is easy to understand. You enriched our trip by sharing with us your knowledge of the sites we visited. Thanks very much for your assistance. I shall keep you in mind should my travels take me back to Shanghai.Steven Huddart From United State)

Dear Qinqin,
Hello. Thanks for the picture. I enjoyed the tour except for the unbearable heat. I got an overdose of history and culture from you. Next time I will read up in advance so I can absorb all the things you have been rattling off. The Circus show was fantastic. After that I walked towards Nanjing West Road. You were right. It was an endless row of high end shops. Nice to see at night with its beautiful streets lights and tree lights. Then I went back to the Bund to view the Huangpo River filled with ferry boats full of tourists.
I learned a lot from the trip. Thank you.

From the 21 Aug 2010 to the 29 Aug 2010 I had the pleasure to have Qinqin as my private tour guide of Shanghai and Zhou Zhang. Qinqin is very reliable, responsive, knowledgeable and a fantastic communicator, not only personally with me but with the many people you meet on your journey. QinQin and I covered a great deal but I felt everything was well paced, and I had the opportunity to spend more time at places that took my curiousity. QinQin helped me with purchasing gifts, and she was able to secure bargins by going to the places that a only a seasoned local knows. Qinqin took care of my foreign exchange and always obtained a better rate than my hotel. I felt very comfortable and well taken care of, and I know I would have done only half of what I actually accomplished without her. PS. The Shanghai World Expo 2010 is " mind blowing" and it is a must see!

To anyone considering Qinqin,
I came to visit Shanghai for 5 days. My main goal was to visit the World Expo, but soon realized that Shanghai and the surrounding areas were also very important to visit.
I did not have any planned tours before arriving to Shanghai, so I was looking for last minute tours on the internet.
I was fortunate enough to find Miss Qinqin Gan through a referral. She contacted me the same morning I was trying to arrange my last minute tour. I explained to her what I was looking for and she immediately understood and suggested an itinerary for the following day. The cost was very reasonable and the whole thing took no longer than 10 minutes to be arranged.
She showed up right on time in the morning and she took me on a very enjoyable tour of the Water Town of ZhouZhuang. Her English was excellent and we were able to communicate very well. She was very patient and answered all my questions about Chinese History and Culture. She also gave me great tips to visit the Shanghai Expo in order to make the most of my visit to the pavilions. She was always happy to take pictures of me and was very attentive to what I wanted to do during our visit to ZhouZhuang, it being sight seeing, learning more about of the history of the place or shopping.
I would highly recommend hiring Miss Qinqin Gan as either a tour guide and/ or a translator. Her command of the English language is excellent. She is extremely professional and mindful of her costumer' s needs. Not to mention that she is a delight to chat with.
PS - Her name is correctly pronounced as Chin-Chin. Just a tip.

Here is a review from my mum ( Ann) :
Qinqin is a lively lady guide. Bringing us around the bustling city of Shanghai was not an easy task but she did well!
We appreciated her catering to our specific needs as a family and watching out for us so that none of us would get lost throughout all the walking around the busy streets of Shanghai.
At a downpour at the Yu Yuan Garden, we were struggling with our umbrellas to get through the crowds of tourists, yet she displayed her cheerful disposition and continued to do her storytelling and watching out for us to make our bargains at various stalls and brought us to eat more authentic Shanghainese food.
She is friendly, accommodating, helpful and a nice person to be with. She is also informative of the various sites of Shanghai and does her job well to the end!
I really appreciate your patience and attentiveness, Qinqin!
And here' s my ( Christine' s) review:
Qinqin, thank you for your excellent service!
Even before we met, you were so efficient in communicating by email, helping me draw up our itinerary, giving us suggestions on where to visit and answering my many other questions.
You were very attentive to all our needs and made sure we found even the luggage locks, and took me to look for floss in the pharmacy, among all the other shopping that we did!
Thank you for your flexibility when we changed our plans at the Yu Yuan Gardens, and you had such a good attitude to bring us on the tour by foot, as we requested.
We walked so much, but I enjoyed it because I could see so much more of Shanghai that way!
Thanks also for helping us learn how to use the subway ticketing machine- we were able to buy the tickets the next day with no problem and had a great time at the Expo!
I really appreciate how you extended your advice to us over and beyond the tour time.
The shop you recommended us for dinner was great. All of us really enjoyed the food and fried DUMPLINGS! : D
Your directions to the Fake market were great, and we managed to score some good buys there too.
I was also able to find the stationery shop I was looking for in Fuzhou road, thanks to your prompt email reply before I left.
Thanks so much for your wonderful service. Will definitely keep you as a contact and recommend you if any of my friend need a tour guide in Shanghai.

We had Qin Qin as our tour guide in Shanghai earlier this month. She is EXCELLENT. Her English is very good and she knows how to travel through Shanghai rapidly getting you wherever you need to go. She has extensive knowledge on history, current Shanghai and shopping. If you want a tailor her source is very good - price and quality. We did a day trip to see the water canals and Qin Qin knew as much about the history and town as she did Shanghai! She is fun to be with, can provide directions on how to get places once you are on your own, and is well prepared in advance. We always felt we were the most important concern Qin Qin had and would HIGHLY recommend her.

We can' t say enough about how wonderful it was touring with Qinqin in Shanghai. We were there in mid-October and she was SO knowledgable and flexible. When she learned we' d already visited a couple places that had originally been on our itinerary with her, she suggested and guided to a few different ones without a hitch. Her English was wonderful and we saw so many more things than we ever would have be able to on our own. She even arranged for an alternate tour guide on a different Book her for your whole trip!

Thank you for taking me on a day long tour two Saturdays ago. I had a great
time and appreciate you even taking me shopping for socks since I did not
pack enough.
I appreciated your understanding and use of the English language, which made
my time with you very relaxed and enjoyable. I am also glad you know all of
the sightseeing locations and Shanghai like the back of your hand and I was
very happy to have you there for my souvenir shopping to help me negotiate
for the best deals.
When I am in Shanghai next, I will certainly schedule another tour with you
of additional sights and plan to try to utilize your business assistance
services in the future as well. Please feel free to use this email as a
referral letter on your website and thank you again!

Hi Qin Qin,
We would like to thank you for your company during our holiday in Shanghai.
You already done your homework by studying the churches we want to visit which is you can tell us the history of the churches.
We really appreciate it because we cannot get that information by ourself because of language barrier.
The other places of interest also very interesting such as Yuyuan Garden, SWFC Tower and Zhouzhuang water town.
I will definetely recommend you to my friends and colleagues.
Best regards,

Referral for Qinqin Gan, Tour Guide Service, Shanghai, China
For our ( group of 6) trip to Shanghai, China, we were advised to hire an English/ Mandarin speaking guide to tour us around the City. Qinqin Gan came highly recommended. I contacted Qinqin by email to check on her availability and she was prompt to respond to give us the good news that she was available to take us around on the date that we requested. She was very diligent in communicating prior to our trip, always checking in and making sure we all knew where to meet on the day of the tour so there would not be any mix ups or miscommunication ( given our language barrier- the fact we didn’ t speak an ounce of Mandarin) . Prior to our trip, she also gave great suggestions on what to see and do in Shanghai. On the day of our tour, she was so accommodating on where we wanted to go and allowed us to create our own agenda. It was great she was so flexible. Again, we did not speak a speck of mandarin so it was so good that she was fluent in both English and Mandarin. She really helped us out. Her knowledge of Shanghai ( such a big City) was great and she gave us so many good tips and tidbits of Shanghai… we felt like she was more like a friend taking us around her City rather than a typical tour guide that just reads off of a script ( how boring! ) . I highly recommend Qinqin to anyone who is travelling to Shanghai and needs a guide. She is personable, friendly, easy going, flexible and just a delight to spend the day with. Thank you Qinqin for the great service! We plan to tell all our friends and family who plan to visit Shanghai to hire her. We would also love to see her again when we return to Shanghai in the future!

Hi Qinqin,
We' re now back home after our trip to Hong Kong, China and the Philippines. We all had a wonderful time including the acrobatics show in Shanghai - it was fantastic. A couple of us bought DVDs of the show so we can show it to others back here in Australia.
Your tour helped us to get so much out of our time in Shanghai. We all enjoyed the the lovely Old Shanghai area, the Yuyuan garden, the Jade Temple and the time you allowed us to shop in the fashion stores and at the markets. Also the place you took us for lunch was terrific, delicious dumplings and such good value. With the list of addresses you gave me in Mandarin we were also able to instruct the cabs exactly where we wanted to go - we checked out the Xiantindi area for dinner and then Mary and I went to the fabric market the next day and ordered a suit and a jacket each.
