DESCRIPTION
ELASTO CS (CEMENT STRENGTHENER) is specially formulated highly versatile polymeric dispersion which acts a cement strengthening compound and remarkably enhances the performance of cement mortar and concrete. ELASTO CS acts as a multipurpose mortar additive which gives wide applications in civil engineering.
PRIMARY USES
ELASTO CS is a very superior quality compound which performs the functions of mortar additive, adhesive and cement modifier and strengthener. Some of the examples from its innumerable uses are:
1. ELASTO CS is an indispensable product in concrete and mortar repairs. ELASTO CS is used in mortar as an additive to make screeds which can be feather edged and can be used successfully in restoring the nosing of floor ducts and stairs.
2. ELASTO CS is used in making water proof slurries for repair of old water proofing works and water proof mortars for new water proofing works.
3. ELASTO CS when admixed in fine cement sand mortar provides an excellent adhesive for fixing wall paneling, stones and tiles including granite and marble tiles.
4. ELASTO CS when used in plastering mortar gives water proof, non- shrink and dust proof plaster.
5. In case of multilayered plaster, ELASTO CS bonding slurry helps in building layer after layer. The bond coat not only serves as a bonding agent but also as a water proofing barrier.
6. In patch – up repairs ELASTO CS forms an important member as it helps binding new plaster to old plaster and also helps in making non shrink crack free mortar for repairs.
7. ELASTO CS is used as corrosion inhibitor on exposed reinforcements and on bridge girders to protect them from the attack of chlorides and sulphates.
8. ELASTO CS is also a valuable tool in arresting leakages from water retaining structures whether through pipe concrete junctions or from masonry pointing.
9. ELASTO CS also acts as a concrete curing agent to prevent excessive water evaporation, reduces crack and improves strength.
10. ELASTO CS provides good underlay coating for epoxy and PU coating as it provides a strong floor screed.

FEATURES
Cement added with ELASTO CS will have:
• Improved bonding strength by 2 to 3 times to 30.57 Kg/ cm², especially good for bonding homogeneous tiles, granite and marble tiles and to prevent staining.
• Increased flexural and compressive strength by 40% to 100%. Compressive strength to 570.64 Kg/ cm², Flexural strength to 127.41 Kg/ cm² (ASTM C 39).
• Quicken setting time of cement.
• Reduced surface cracking and dusting, forming a very tight seal. Good for wall plaster. Wet area and swimming pool water proofing.
• 10 to 20 times more resistant to oil, salt water, chloride, acid and vapour penetration. A feature particularly important in steel reinforced concrete structure.
• Improves plasticity and flow (ASTM C 124- 71), easier to work with, reduces porosity.

ADVANTAGES

7) ELASTO CS makes mortars non- shrink, strong and dust proof.
8) Where no remedy of salt petre exists, ELASTO CS modified mortar solves the problem with ease.
9) ELASTO CS is successfully used as a primer to brick bat coba systems on terraces.

APPLICATION EXAMPLES

A. ADMIXTURE IN CONCRETING:
Mix ELASTO CS and water in the proportion of (1:6) and use this as gauging water in the concrete mix. This shall provide increased flexural and tensile strength. The admixed concrete shall have early setting time and the finish of the concrete face shall be fair and non- dusting. The concrete shall be resistant to oil, salt water, chloride, acid and vapour penetration.

B. FLOOR REPAIRS :
Prepare the base and apply primer obtained by mixing cement with ELASTO CS and water in proportion of (2:1:1). When the primer is still tacky, apply mortar which has ELASTO CS and water in the proportion of (1:6). For repairing floor duct edges and nosing of stairs let the primer be same but mortar to be added with ELASTO CS and water in the proportion (1:3).

C. WATER PROOF PLASTER:
Mix ELASTO CS and water in the proportion of (1:6) use this as gauging water in the mortar and apply the mortar. Should there be any need of primer use (1:4) ELASTO CS water and cement to form a primer and brush apply this before the application of plaster.

D. BINDING OLD CONCRETE TO NEW:
Use ELASTO CS with cement in the proportion of (1:1) to form thick slurry. Brush apply this slurry to the old concrete just before concreting.

E. FOR FIXING GRANITE AND MARBLE TILES & FOR FIXING PANELLING:
ELASTO CS and cement (1:1) to be applied on the surface of wall or concrete as well as behind marble or granite tile.
Adhesive:
Mix ELASTO CS and water in (1:1) and add it in the cement sand mix. Use this mortar for fixing when the primer is still tacky.

F. FOR CONCRETE CURING AGENT:
Dilute ELASTO CS with water and cement in the proportion (1:2:1) and coat over the surface of freshly poured concrete to prevent excessive water evaporation, reduces crack & improves strength.

G. FOR BEDDING MORTAR IN BRICK MASONRY:
Mix ELASTO CS and water in the proportion of (1:6) use this as gauging water in the cement sand mortar and apply the mortar. This mortar shall have added strength and shall be waterproof and non- dusting.

PACKING
ELASTO CS is available in 1 Kg, 5 Kg, and 20 Kg packing.

SHELF LIFE
One year when stored as recommended in original packing in a cool and dry place above 5° C.
