Volvo Interface 88890020 is developed for Volvo/ Mack Vehicles and Egnines.

The 88890020 communication unit enables PC to vehicle communication. The device connects to the PC via a USB cable or by wireless LAN using the 802.11 b/ g standard.

Operating temperature range: -40 to + 85H ( -40 to + 185K) .

Storage temperature range: -40 to + 125H ( -40 to 257K) .

Before the 88890020 communication unit can be used, a driver must be installed on the PC. In addition, a utility application ( Admin0020) can be used to check the status of the device and update the firmware if and when needed.

There are three different ways, described below, of connecting communication unit88890020

Security level Directly to the communication unit

Communication is performed using 128 bit WEP, Wired Equivalent Privacy. The WEP-key is generated automatically and is not seen during the configuration.

Directly to the communication unit

Note: Your PC must have Wireless LAN 802.11b/ g and support for 128 bit WEP ( encryption) , if it is to be used for direct communication with the communication unit. The Panasonic CF29 has this built into the motherboard. Additional Wireless LAN cards will be recommended in the future.

Connect the communication unit to the vehicle.

Select communication unit 88890020 and Direct to communication unit in window Alternative.
