This methow covers the determination of setting-time of the mortar fraction of concrete mixes and is only suitable on mortars with slump values greater than zero.The definition of the initial and final setting time is taken as the period from when water was first added to the mix until the measured penetration resistance is 500 lbf/in2 and 4000 lbf/in2 respectively.
