A pioneer in the industry since 1933, Rain Bird
Corporation is the largest manufacturer of
irrigation equipment in the world. The company
began when a citrus grower named Orton
Englehart invented a new sprinkler that was
more durable and efficient than other sprinklers
of his day. His neighbors, Clem and Mary La
Fetra, saw the potential of this invention and
began marketing it. Their initial manufacturing
operations in the family barn grew into today’ s
Rain Bird Corporation.
As the world’ s largest manufacturer of irrigation
products, we believe it is our responsibility to
