Purpose: Allows you to read the sign spectum stone, white light is a combination of the visible spectrum of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. This is the rainbow we see when light traveling through a prism. When white light traveling through the stone, one or more of the wavelengths that produce a color that is absorbed by the stone, the color - the color that is NOT absorbed are the colors that look when we see the stone.
Wavelength which is absorbed by the stone will be visible in SPECTROSCOPE as vertical black lines in sprktrum. Each stone has a unique absorption spectrum and there is none ( like FINGERPRINT) |
