Introduction of Nine-Dragon Jade
Nine-Dragon Jade is also called Hua`an Jade. The producing area is on the North Stream of Nine-Dragon River in Hua`an County which owns the richest resources. In ancient times, Nine-Dragon Jade was named Plum Blossom Stone, Cloud Stone and was one of the China Ten Rare Stones. The scientific name is the silicon horn stone of a belt calcium, which formed from the aggradation rock by self-heating action and its time of depositting from about 248 million years to 243 million years ago. Early in Tang and Song dynasty, it was praised as a kind of very precious jade in our country because its color pattern flutters like the flood dragons. It was tributed to the court and has been collected in Beijing Palace Museum till now. In the book
Xu Xiake Travel Notes, the Ming dynasty famous geographer Xu Xiake described "Hua`an Jade" with a lot of laudatory phraseology. Hua`an Jade becomes stone play tribute in Ming and Qing Dynasties accordingly.
Hua`an Jade has fine, hard quality, gorgeous colors, clear vein, different shapes thus claimed to be "Green Cloud", "Carnelian" from ancient time. Main mineral composition is mostly distributed by the parallel bedding of rectangular form particle, so appear mauve, yellowish , black, emerald and dark green pieces of banding crooked structure lamination, with straps, curve structure layer. The surface of each product is like a natural abstract painting, so the products made of Hua`an Jade have extremely high use and ornamental value. They contain more than 20 kinds of microelements which benefit our health such as zinc , molybdenum ,etc. Nine-Dragon Jade`s hardness reaches Friedrich mohs 7.3-7.8 degrees, Luminance reaches more than 100 degrees after polish. Validated by the Chinese Academy of Sciences: the Nine-Dragon Jade contains no radioelement and it`s application scope is of no limitation. Owing to its hardness, high density, the absorbing water rate nearly gets to zero. The products neither easily change its colors when meeting water nor be easily stained by the feculence, nor generate scratches in use, with which the general granites can`t be compared. Adopting the Nine-Dragon Jade as the decorative materials, you will promote your buildings to a higher grade.
