We, Zhejiang Eastern Shipyard Co., Ltd ( ZESCO) , conceived and established as a joint venture between HanJin Shipping of Korea and Shunhe Shipping of China, are very much pleased to inform you that our ship repair yard will start operation in full swing from middle of December, 2008 for drydocking repairs and conversions. ZESCO is located conveniently on Dachu Shan island at the outer gateway to Hangzhou bay ( about 21 miles south of Shanghai city) with geographical position of Long 122 ¡ à £ 25 ¡ à ¤ 0 ¡ à ¥ E, Lat 30 ¡ à £ 40 ¡ à ¤ 0 ¡ à ¥ N, on the passage way to Yangshan C.T., the world largest container terminal and will carry out ship repairs and conversions with 2 graving docks and total 1, 310m of outfitting quay when completed. The shipyard covers an area of 600, 000 square meters, 1, 900 meters shoreline; it has two drydocks of 300, 000ton ( 360m  ¡ à 76m) and 150, 000ton ( 310m  ¡ à 54m) respectively with two outfitting quays of 640 meters and 670 meters. The shipyard will be put into operation by end of 2008 according to schedule ¡  £ Once completed, the shipyard will be able to accommodate over 150 vessels of drydocking and repairs in a year with annual sales turnover of more than US$ 150 million and 2, 700 employees will be working. Furthermore, the company is planning the second phase expansion plan. A standardized quality system, security systems, environmental systems, and various rules and regulations will be established, as well a highly efficient organization and operation mechanism. The company will be a new power on the development of ship repair industry in China, and become one of the largest and most powerful ship repair enterprises.
