The Property:
2-Acrylamido-2-Methylpropane Sulfonic Acid (2-A2MPS) is a kind of vinyl monomer that contains sulfonic acid gene. With sound performances of complexation, absorption, bioactivity, surface activity, hydrolysis and heat stability, in the aqueous solutions, its hydrolytic speed is low, and its sodium salt has sound performance of anti-hydrolysis under the term of high PH value. Under the term of acidity, the performance of anti-hydrolysis of its multipolymer is far higher than that of polyacrylamide.

Usage:
2-Acrylamido-2-Methylpropane Sulfonic Acid (2-A2MPS) can be used not only to copolymerization, but also to homopolymerization. 2-A2MPS can be widely used in the fields of oil chemistry, water-treatment, synthetic fiber, dyeing, plastic, absorbent coating, paper-making, biomedicine, magnetic material and cosmetics etc.

Attention:

Â¢Â¡Â¡Â¢2-Acrylamido-2-Methylpropane Sulfonic Acid (2-A2MPS)is a kind of white tiny crystal powder, please avoid the skin and eyes touch it directly when dealing with it; the operator must wear protective glass, protective glove and protecting mask. Please wash your skin with a mass of clean water immediately once the skin touch the 2-A2MPS; if eyes touch it, please should wash your eyes by a mass of clean water for at less 15 minutes at once. And finish the above action, you should check and cure again by doctor in time whatever any body parts touch the 2-A2MPS.

Â¢Â£Â¡Â¢During the storage and handling, to avoid 2-A2MPSÂ¡Â¯s hydrolyzation and pre-polymerization, please keep 2-A2MPS monomers solution away from below materials:

1Â¡Â¢Oxidant, reducing agent and evocating agent to vinyl polymerization can cause the polymerization reaction of 2-A2MPS monomer saline solution, keep these kinds of materials away from 2-A2MPS.

2Â¡Â¢Acid and alkali can change PH value over the permitted range 8.5~9.5. 2-A2MPS can polymerize or hydrolyze if PH value below 8.5. On the contrary, 2-A2MPS can hydrate or hydrolyze if PH value is above 9.5. Both situations will decrease the purity of 2-A2MPS monomers.

3Â¡Â¢In the region of 2-A2MPS monomer saline solution meeting metal, iron ion can cause its lentamente polymerization. However, stainless steel 304 or 316 will not cause polymerization. Other species substance of metal should be avoided generally, except that experiments proved them are accepted.

4Â¡Â¢2-A2MPS cannot be stored in the surrounding of inert gases (such as hydrogen, N2 CO2 and so on) or blown them. Any of them may cause loss of dissolved oxygen and increase the sensibility of pre-polymerization of the solution (since O2 is a kind of polymerization inhibitor).

5Â¡Â¢The polymerization inhibitor to 2-A2MPS salt monomer solution is para-hydroxyanisole (or named metoxyphenol) with O2 (air). Generally, the dosage of polymerization inhibitor is 65~90PPM, at the same time, please uses air to keep the oxygen saturation of solution in order to make the solution to contain dissolved oxygen.

6Â¡Â¢Experiments showed that in containers made of stainless steel 304 / 316 or glass, with PH value 8.5~9.5, containing 50Â¡Âª100 PPM polymerization inhibitor, under 30Â¡Ã¦~55Â¡Ã¦ , 2-A2MPS Na saline liquor can be stored for one year without loss or hydrolyzation. Under -10Â¡Ã¦~0Â¡Ã¦ , 2-A2MPS Na saline liquor stored for 9 weeks, the liquor still remains clear and generates no solid. While under -18Â¡Ã¦~-15Â¡Ã¦ store for 1 to 2 weeks, it may generate solid; If the liquor is diluted to 40% or lower concentration, under-18Â¡Ã¦~-15Â¡Ã¦ , stored for 1 week, it may generate solid.

7Â¡Â¢Storage containers and operating equipments made of stainless steel 304/316 are recommended. Storage vats could be made by PE or PP materials etc.
