Specification :

A perennial of the family lycopodiaceae. commonly seen in the moss strata of subapline coniferous forests. The plant attains a height of 15-25 cm. It has a stem which is fan-shapely branched in the upper part, resembling a canopy of a tree branches. The spike-shaped terete sporangium is solitary at the top of a branchlet. L. obscurum is used as a medicinal herb to stimulate the circulation of the blood and cause the muscles and joints to relax. It has also may be cultivated in pot for us its handsome form.
