Specification :
Characteristice: The highest molecular weight vinyl resin, having a composition of approximately 90 percent vinyl chloride and 10 percent vinyl acetate. LC-10 offers a desirable balance of chemical resistance, solubility, film strength, and thermoplasticity, has a good adhesion on paper, acrylic resin, PVC, ABS and PC, etc.
Solubility: LC-10 is usually dissolved in relatively strong ketone systems to provide resin solutions of 13 to 17 percent solids. Ketones and esters are the most commonly used solvents, chlorinated hydrocarbons, amide used only in a few occasions. Ketones is a particularly good solvent, and esters is the relatively weak solvent. Chlorinated hydrocarbons such as dichloroethane and 1, 2 - dichloroethane can completely dissolve LC-10, but methyl chloroform and tetrachloroethane can only swell it. Aromatic hydrocarbons have a good role in the swelling, generally using with ketone.
Application: LC-10 is used where the ultimate toughness, durability, and chemical resistance are required. LC-10 is often blended with LC-13-2 to increase sprayable solids. Because of its excellent tensile and tear properties, LC-10 is ideally suited for strippable coatings applications, metal, can paint, modules carpet, magnetic card, cable, flooring, etc.
