Overview:
This course is designed as an overview of OSHA requirements for industrial electrical systems, installations and equipment from a safety perspective. Topics covered include hazardous location of equipment, ground fault circuit interrupters, single- and three-phase systems and electrical hazard recognition.
Course Objective:
1. To refresh a basic knowledge understanding of Electrical Design and Application
2. To learn the knowledge of Grounding System, Lightning Protection, Leakage Current Protection, Static Electricity, Electric Induction and PUIL (Peraturan Umum Instalasi Listrik) issued by PLN.
3. Identify electrical safety hazards and plan protective schemes and techniques to address each hazard
4. Understand electrical safety issues related to hazardous substances and locations
5. Be able to reference OSHA electrical standards in general industry regulations
