Specification
UniMax P85
General Description
The UniMax P85 radio meets today’s challenging telecommunications
environment for low cost and short time to market the critical factors for
network operators.
The UniMax P85 meets these challenges by providing both hardware and software
scaleable capacity (8 – 100 Mbps) channel bandwidths by using field replaceable plug-in modules
for all common payload tributary
Interfaces e.g., V.35, E1, E3, and Ethernet
or a combination of these payloads.
The UniMax P85 design achieves high
performance, reliability, and provides
advanced features to PDH and Ethernet radios.
Employing Trellis Coded Modulation with Reed-Solomon FEC provides
significant improvements to system gain, immunity to interference, and
selective fading translating into longer path lengths, smaller antennas resulting
in lower network implementation costs.
The UniMax P85 radio system meets carrier-grade standards for reliability,
quality, and operational integration.
The rapid growth of mobile users and internet multimedia applications is
increasing demands on network operators to build highly flexible broadband
networks capable supporting new applications.
The UniMax P85 meets and exceeds these requirements today.
