1. Appearance : White powder is a mixture of zinc sulfide and barium sulfate. Insoluble in water
Lithopone is a white pigment. It’ s a mixture of barium sulfate and zinc sulfide. Its relative density ranges from 4.136 to 4.39, insoluble in water. It doesn’ t react with sulfuric acid and alkaline solution of hydrogen. It decompounds into hydrogen sulfide gas, easily oxidized in air. It lumps because of humidity and have a high cover rate.
