The first beginnings of Tasikmalaya STMIK standing on 26 November 1995-Professional Institution 1 ( one) year named Integrated Institutions ( LPT) Ambassador of Indonesia' s Computer.

Since the academic year 1999/ 2000 to develop the field in research and community service, which takes the form of Community Service Research Institute ( LPPM) STMIK Tasikmalaya, with the Secretariat on the streets of Tasikmalaya and Dadaha No 18 on the road No. 40 Student Army Tasikmalaya.

In 2001/ 2002 in accordance with the DECREE of the Tasikmalaya STMIK. Mendiknas Number 202/ D/ O/ 2001 dated September 26, 2001 officially became a College with address JL. IR. h. Juanda No. 10 of 2003 and Tasikmalaya STMIK Tasikmalaya according SK. Mendiknas Number 4002/ D/ T/ 2003 of 10 December 2003 with JL. R.E. Martadinata address no. 160 and JL. R.E. Martadinata No. 272 A Tasikmalaya under coordination of the private Colleges ( KOPERTIS) Region IV West Java and Banten.

On 13-14 April 2006 STMIK Tasikmalaya implement first accreditation process for computerized accounting courses. And on 27-28 April, continued Accreditation for courses on Informatics Engineering. Now ACCREDITED with the status of Tasikmalaya STMIK BAN-PT to study computer engineering program ( S1) issued on June 15, 2006 with the DECREE No. 005/ BAN PT/ Ak-X/ VI/ 2006 and computerized Accountancy ( D3) and DECREE No. 003/ PT/ DIII TIRES-ak/ VI/ 2006 on June 1, 2006.
