    Characteristice: A super macromolecule weight resin having a composition of approximately 84 percent vinyl chloride, 13 percent vinyl acetate and 3% maleic acid. Because of the carboxyl functional group, HVAMA has excellent adhesion on metal, especially on aluminum foil, the resin foil also has a good adhesion on PVC, ABS, paper, textiles, beton, etc. At the same time, HVAMA has excellent water resistance, oil, ester, acid, alkali and salt water solution resistance. HVAMA offers a desirable balance of chemical resistance, solubility, diaphaneity, film strength, and thermoplasticity, has a good hardness and flexibility properties.

    Solubility: HVAMA is usually dissolved in relatively strong solvent/ diluent combinations, such as 50% / 50% ketone/ aromatic hydrocarbon, to produce solutions of 15 to 20 percent solids. Ketone is a particularly good solvent, and ester is the relatively weak solvent. Chlorinated hydrocarbons such as dichloroethane and 1, 2 - dichloroethane can completely dissolve HVAMA, and methyl chloroform and tetrachloroethane can only swell it. Aromatic hydrocarbons have a good role in the swelling, generally using with ketone. Because of its macromolecule weight, the solids content can not be too much, or it may cause the rapid change of the viscosity, even cause jelly liquid state. It can be used smoothly after adding the diluent solvent.

    Application: HVAMA is used primarily for air-dry finishes, such as maintenance, marine and metal coating, cans sealed paint, wood and glass coating, metal inks, adhesive for binder nail, etc.
