The system uses highly accurate Global Positioning System ( GPS) and GLONASS technology for cadastral, topographic, control, stakeout and other precision survey applications. The Spectra Precision® EPOCH 50 GNSS system offers quality performance and reliability, while remaining a cost-effective investment. The EPOCH 50 GNSS system features a 220 channel multi-constellation GNSS receiver that supports a wide range of satellite signals, including GPS L2C and L5 and GLONASS L1/ L2 signals. The universal GNSS receiver can perform either as a base, rover or network rover for Real-Time Kinematic ( RTK) or Static field solutions. The system integrates several wireless features including Bluetooth® and an internal transmit radio modem that enables users to transmit without the need for an external radio. The system operates with the popular Spectra Precision Survey Pro™ field software. This premiere Survey Pro software solution runs on all the Spectra Precision Ranger® 3, Nomad™ and Recon® data collector models. For RTK surveying, the base may also include a choice of external radio modems that provide either a long- or short-range data link from the base to the rover.
