The Icom IC-V8-15 Sport provides professional quality and functionality in a rugged easy to use package. This radio has a military grade construction, CTCSS / DTCS encode / decode with tone scan and a full 5.5 watts out with BP-222N battery optional. Low output power ( 0.5 watts) is also shown. V8 has three different scan modes. These are Programmed, Memory and Priority Watch. Zoom through your personal range scans, pair 3 can be selected users in 40 channels per second. You also get 100 alphanumeric ( 5 character) memory channels. Each memory stores frequency, name, tone, output power and duplex setting. Plus enjoy a fast 40 channel per second scanning. Five DTMF memory channels with up to 24 DTMF codes allow remote operation. The optional DTMF decoder unit ( UT-108) provides code put out of operation and pager functions.

The selection of channels, volume, extinguish and sub audible tones can be assigned to the Up / Down switches or rotary selector at your convenience. You' ll master the controls in a short time. Multi-function LCD has LED back lighting. Buttons are marked for easy use. This radio has a front panel pull polycarbonate green forest. Version of the current V8-15 Sport including BP-208 alkaline AA cell holder, MB-103 belt clip and BNC flexible antenna ( no charger) .
