Dafen painting village located in Buji Town,ShenZhen city, Dafen Oil Painting Village now is a famous "Oil Painting Village" of China. More than 2000 artists and 200 painting-ateliers make it become the most concentrative base in the world to manufacture painting craftworks.

Thanks to a particular geographical environment, a lot of senior painters have cultivated their own style. Their products are salable world widely.

The first International Cultural Industry Fair (ICIF) have been held in Shenzhen from Nov. 18 through 22, 2004. As a separate exhibition spot, Dafen Village staged a series of activities along with the event. The second International Cultural Industry Fair (ICIF) held on 18 May 2006.

On the 2nd ICIF, Artists and visitors from all over the world tour Dafen oil oainting village in Shenzhen. An exhibition for special writing and painting tools and materials will also have international manufacturer participation.

Foreign art dealers paticipated in the forum at Dafen on the oil painting industry. Now, there are about 10,000 artists and apprentices have built up its fame as a well-known oil painting export base.

The four-day 2nd ICIF concluded Sunday, with a total recorded trade volume of 10 billion yuan (US$1.25 billion).
