Neglected for most of her career, Eileen Gray ( 1878-1976) is now regarded as one of the most important furniture designers and architects of the early 20th century and the most influential woman in those fields. Her work inspired both Modernism and Art Deco.
Designed in 1926 by Eileen for her first self designed house, a clifftop house near Monaco, this clinically chic table is a well known & loved classic icon. Inspired from her sister who loved to have breakfast in bed. The base slides under the bed and the adjustable height of the top provides a perfect fit over the top of the bed.
However, the versatile Eileen Gray table is equally at home in sitting rooms, dining rooms and offices, as a cocktail table, a lamp table or a side table.
Our version of the Eileen Gray table is exceptional quality in chrome plated steel, the top is tempered glass.
