PROCESSING HITS:

1. RELEASE AGENTS:

Release agents are always to be applied very thinly and if necessary smoothed off again with a rubber wiper or cloth before each use.

After striking, the formwork units should be immediately cleaned again. From time to time the formwork units / plywood should be cleaned with a detergent to avoid the shuttering panels becoming too “greasy�. Also before each concreting use the panels should be cleaned to remove any possible pollution (e.g. flower pollen, brake dust etc.), so that the concreting result is not affected.

2. EDGE TREATMENT / EDGE SEALING:

As soon as plywood is cut, attention should be given to the cut edges being immediately sealed again.

ADVANTAGES:

A panel that meets the highest demands and is easy to work with (saw, nail etc.).

The panels made of Fir are of low weight.

SWELLING & SHRINKING BEHAVIOR:

Wood panels are subject to the natural timber properties of swelling and shrinking in appropriate climatic conditions, associated with the absorption and release of moisture. In order to avoid panels moving or irregularities through swelling, especially near edges, it should be observed before use that the timber moisture content of the shuttering panel is adjusted to the surrounding climate. With extreme climatic situations we recommend watering or storage of the units in the shade, for example, before use. Guarantee claims based on climatic / weather conditions, natural physical and chemical properties of the shuttering panels in connection with alterations in shape and surface are excluded. Information on the concrete surface and uniformity is to be understood within the scope of formwork possibilities, the swelling and shrinking values of the materials and the specific type of timber or panel properties.

Chinese fir is native to Central and South China. It makes high quality timber of straight shape with high resistance to warping, deformation and cracking, and easy processing attribute. Not only can it be free from the damage by termites, but also prevent rot. Chinese fir timber is most popular among local people and widely used in furniture manufacturing and construction area.
