Managing a company or even an enterprise is all about managing related resources to achieve corporate objectives. Leading companies always keep their resources productive, effective, and efficient by having and applying some standard procedure in day-to-day operation.
It is not an easy job to keep them that way, if the company has hundreds of resources handled manually. Employees come and go. When they leave, they took their knowledge of standard procedure with them.
New comers will have to start learning and experiencing the company�s procedure. This is the advantage of using M-Resource system in the company. We bring what�s on previous employees� minds into writing. So, new comers will learn easier and faster. Our main objective of developing is to make things easier for companies to manage their resources. So, companies can more focus on their business activities while takes care of the resources information, rules and procedures.
We started off by developing application functionality, which covers most required features in managing human resources and payroll. Gradually we will then enhance and extend our M-Resource to have more application functionalities to manage more resources, which tightly involved in a company. By using M-Resource, companies will be able to record, maintain, and analyze information related to their resources electronically. M-Resource is built using LANSA� Development tools for productivity, quality, ease of maintenance and portability among different kinds of platform.
Windows� Graphical User Interface has been chosen as the main user interface to have reasonable screen response. Also we have web-based functionality that can be used under Internet browser for Internet and/or Intranet implementation. To ensure ease of use, most common GUI features used in all functions, such as combo box, check box, radio button, photos, calendar style date prompter, etc. All reports produced by this application are generated using Crystal Report�, so users can only preview on the screen, or continue to print, or even export/save report content as common file format such as Text files, Acrobat� PDF, MSExcel � Spreadsheet, HTML, Windows� Rich Text Files, etc.
M-Resource HR & Payroll
M-Resource HR & Payroll is used to record, maintain, and analyze information related to employees starting from their hiring process, daily attendance, training and development, salary payment, until their retirement.
Organization and Structures module available to record and maintain company definition and standards on Organization Structure, Job, Level, Position, Working
Location, Employment Status, Pay Group, Cost center, Salary Grade, Responsibilities, Authorities, etc.
In the Recruitment, we provide functionality to record and maintain applicant information, recruitment requests, and the applicant selection function for easy and accurate applicant selection. Application selection can be defined with some predefined recruitment criteria based on jobs or levels. This module also can be used to define and maintain recruitment agent, application qualification, and various recruitment tests. Since most applicant type of information are basically the same with employee information, at the end of the hiring process, applicant data can be automatically transferred to employee data.
In the Personnel module, we provide functionality to record and maintain employee data as well as actions to employee. This includes New Hire, Reassignment,
Violation, Warning Letter, Business Travel, and Termination.
A comprehensive employee data can be maintained in M-Resource, this includes information such as addresses, dependant, skills, education background, training history, working experience, hobby, medical records, identifications, assignment history, salary components, tax information, bank accounts, etc. And if that information is not enough, there are facilities to define new attributes and place to store some free text information for each employee.
Standard letters (such as Warning Letter, etc), reports, and employee distribution chart (such as Employee by Religion, Employee by Unit, etc) also provided. In the Leave and Absenteeism module, we provide functionality to record and maintain employee absence, leave entitlement and balance tracking, attendance records, working calendar, etc. Interfacing to some attendance machine will be provided. Attendance record can be posted into overtime calculation and payment.
In the Training and Development module, we provide functionality to record and maintain employee training request, training records, and performance appraisals.
Performance appraisal items can be defined according to requirements.
In the Payroll & Benefit module, we provide functionality to perform payroll calculation, regular or non-regular. Indonesian standard income tax rules are
applied and supported. This includes PPh21 Standard, PPh21 Final, and PPh 26.
M-Resource support various income type such as gross, net, mixed gross and net, and non taxable. M-Resource will perform best estimation on tax calculation, so surprise at the end of fiscal year can be reduced or even avoided. Pro-rated calculation as well as retroactive calculation for new employee, terminated employee, and backdated salary change also can be done using M-Resource.
Employee can have one or more salary component with single or more than one currency. Take home pay can be paid by simply cash or even transfer to multiple bank accounts. Electronic bank transfer already provided for well known Bank Institutions. Indonesian government standard reports also provided such as Jamsostek reports, SPT 1721 (full set), SPT 1770 (full set), and SPT 1770S.
Application Foundation module is provided for user to maintain authorization as well as maintaining some application parameters and general tables. M-Resource can be implemented using workflow approach, and the authorization can be based on current organization structure.

Information can be stored in well-known DBMS software such as Oracle�, Microsoft� SQL Server, and Adaptive SQL Anywhere�.
Hardware requirements can start with a single Pentium III� processor, 256MB memory, 20GB Disk for a stand-alone implementation. For multi-user implementation M-Resource requires higher and better hardware configuration.
Currently supported Operating System is Microsoft� Windows 2000/NT/XP. Implementing M-Resource using IBM i-Series Server also possible but subject to
additional middleware license.
