Used for cutting granite, marble, hard and soft ceramic tiles.
" Ceramic tiles are cut using either a tile cutting board, which scores the tile before being broken, or with diamond blades. Diamond blades, used with a wet saw, is the prepreferable choice when cutting most floor and wall tile of any decent size. Blades come in a variety of sizes, and qualities. The general range is, from lowest to highest diamond content, Premium, Supreme and Super Supreme. The deeper the diamond-encrusted rim, the higher the diamond content and the longer the blade will last.
Most ceramic tile cutting blades are continuous rim. They have no individual segments, and rely on water to keep them cool during cutting. There are some segmented blades used in cutting tiles, but they are usually reserved for cutting granite and marble tiles, not ceramic.
