Land Rover is a brand of one of the British car company, Jaguar Land Rover that produces a wide range of products 4-wheel drive car. [ 4] Established in 1948. Jaguar Land Rover is headquartered in Whitley, Coventry, owned by Indian automaker Tata Motors since 2008. [ 5]

Land Rover name was originally used by the Rover Company as the name of one of their models, Land Rover, Rover launched in 1948. In subsequent years it developed into a brand name of its own for a 4-wheel drive vehicles, such as Defender, Discovery, Freelander, Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover Evoque. Land Rover currently has a factory in Halewood and Solihull, with research and development facilities in Gaydon and Whitley. Land Rover sold 194, 000 vehicles in 2009. [ 7]

In June 2008, Ford sold Land Rover and Jaguar brands to Tata Motors Cars. This sale also included the Rover brand is temporarily inactive.
