Specification :

Labisia pumila ( Kacip Fatimah ) is leafy plant that grows in the shade of forest floors.

The leaves are about 20-25 cm long.
" The Kacip Fatimah is a small plant, but it is reputed to have numerous uses, including increasing a woman' s libido, and traditionally used as :
1. A kind of tea by women for many generations in childbirth in inducing and eases delivery,
2. A post parfume medication to help contract the birth channel,
3. To regain body strength, regulate menstrual cycle and
4. Avoid painful or difficult menstruation and to alleviate menopausal symptoms.

Extract from these herbs are usually ground into powder substances and are made into capsules and pills. A concoction made from boiling the plant in water is given to women in labour to hasten delivery of their babies. After childbirth, it may still be consumed by mothers to regain their strength. In other medicinal preparations, it can treat gonorrhoea, dysentery and eliminate excessive gas in the body.
