Specification :
Neutral-curing, curtain wall structural sealing
Specifications
Fast curing, short SFT
Good adhesion & excellent mechanical property.
Characteristics
HT-6100A is a high-quality, easily applied one-part neutral-curing, low-modulus silicone sealant for construction applications, with a long shelf life and especially good bonding characteristics. It cures on exposure to atmospheric moisture to form a durable, elastic seal.
Special characteristics
¨ Non-sag.
¨ Ready gunnability at low ( + 5° C) and high ( + 40° C) temperatures.
¨ Fast cross-linking: quickly becomes tack-free.
¨ Low shrinkage during vulcanization.
¨ Flexible at low( -40° C ) and high temperatures( + 150° C) .
¨ Good tooling characteristics.
¨ Outstanding weathering resistance
¨ Bonds to almost all materials without primer
¨ no migration of plasticizer
¨ Not corrosive to metals
¨ Low shrinkage on curing

Application
HT-6100A is a high-performance sealant designed for sealing, bonding and mending tasks in glazing applications. It is especially suitable or use as weatherseal for structural glazing.
It is suitable for use on alkaline substrates such as concrete and mortar.
It can be applied by either hand or machine to seal expansion joints and connecting joints in a wide variety of materials,
Adhesion
It exhibits excellent primerless adhesion to most non-porous siliceous material, e.g. glass, coated glass, tiles, ceramics, enamel, glazed tiles and clinker; impregnated, varnished or painted wood, aluminum, steel and some plastics.
Users must carry out their own tests due to the great variety of substances.
The adhesion can be improved in many cases by pretreatment of the substrates with a primer.
Weather and heat resistance
It has excellent weatherability and is virtually unaffected by UV, radiation, ozone, rain, snow, sunlight and extremes of temperature. Its mechanical and physical properties do not change appreciably on aging or exposure to weather. This has been confirmed in weatherometer tests performed.
Even after many years in service, seals remain fully functional. Cured stays elastic at temperatures from as low as -40C to as high as + 150C. It will even withstand brief exposure to lower and higher temperatures.
Restrictions on use
It may be discolored in contact with some organic elastomers, e.g. EPDM, APTK and neoprene.
It is not recommended for use on natural stone, such as marble, granite, quartzite, as it can cause staining.
It is not recommended for sealing of aquaria.
The curing time can be extended at lower temperature, low humidity or by low volume of air change.
