The 1U4E1PCM equipment multiplexes 0-30 channels of voice data inti 1-4E1 data and cross-connect all the 128 units of 64K time slots flexibly through net-work management software. The 30 channels could be of any interface type and each card accmmodates 2 channels. Multiple protections have been applied for safety and reliability. There are lightening proof,anti-magnet and anti-surge protections for the equipment. with the help of network management software(NMS), the PCM euipment could select routing port automatically.The 4/8 V.35/V.24 interfaces in the cantral multiplex module can be of DCE type. The configuration of cross connect can be achieved by either NMS or prepared proposal.The cross connect data are stored in the EEPROM so that it will not be affected by equipment reset or power off. The sub frame is made of stainless steel.
