Description: NKN Nomex-Polyimide-Nomex Laminates is a three-layer flexible composite material, consisting of Polyimide film ( e.g.Kapton) covered on both sides with Dupont Nomex paper. NKN is also known as NHN. It has another derivative: NK.
NKN Flexible Laminates exhibits good electrical strength, excellent thermal resistance as well as high mechanical properties at elevated operating temperatures.It has a smooth surface which allows a troulbe free manufacture of low voltage motors where coil inserting machines are used.
NKN Flexible Laminates is mainly used as a slot liner, slot closure, phase and turn-to-turn insulation in low or medium voltage electrical motors.Besides it is also used as interlayer insulation in transformers and other electrical appliances.
