The RTU5011 is a GSM Remote Control and Alarm Unit. It allows you to monitor and control an alarm or remote stations or equipments or machines by SMS.

The unit (12 volt powered) is permanently connected to a mobile telephone of GSM type. So it does not require any telephone line of electrical main supply and can be placed anywhere.

The remote function can be used to remote control any equipment connected to the unit and the SMS alarm function can inform you the status of the inputs, like which input was triggered and so on.

The remote control function of the unit is very useful for the remote monitoring of installations or machines being placed at isolated places, such as pomp heaters or generators, for instance. The alarm function can be used for fixed/mobile workshops, building sites, garages, machines, car/truck boats, second homes, etc.

A very sensitive microphone enables to hear remotely what happens around the unit. This function is very useful to check if, indeed, a control command sent to the unit is really carried out. For example, after having started a machine remotely, one will be able to hear it functionning.

The 8 output relays behave like simple two poles (wires) switches. More simply, they make the current get through one pole (wires) to the other, or not . The two outputs AC current also behave like simple switches, it can connect to the machines as a switch,the user can remotely swithc it on or off by SMS commands. Also,it can be linked to any input, when the input activated, the output relay can be switched on or off.

The unit has 8 logic inputs and an audio input. If any logic input changes, the unit will send a SMS to a pre-set GSM mobile phone indicating what one of the logic inputs has been triggered.In case of trouble, the unit calls you with the GSM connected to the unit to your fixed or mobile numbers. The microphone will certainly make it possible to know the cause of the alarm call since you can listen to all the unit surrounding sounds. The unit is able to inform you by SMS of the input states. E.g.: normal or triggered.

The unit has 4 AD inputs and an audio input. If any AD input changes, the unit will send a SMS to a pre-set GSM mobile phone indicating what one of the AD inputs has been triggered. The AD inputs like Temperature and humidity transmitter, Pressure Transmitter which with a current output signal.

Link action is useful to automatical control, the unit can be programmed so that one relay is automatically activated from a logic input. the user can program if the first input triggered,the firt output relay will work, or program others. E.g.: can program when the first input(PIR Motion sensor) triggered, let the unit drive the DVR to record.

Various wired sensors can be connected to the 4 inputs: temperature detectors, water leak detectors, switches (push), thermostats, movement detectors (PIR), contacts with magnet, gauges of tank, contacts of pressure etc.

An arm or disarm button is optional for the user.

Also, the external speaker is optional for you speak to the person who near the unit.

Timer functions is very good, it can program every day 10:00Am send the reports or 11:00Am to start any machines. The user needn¡¯t go to check the unit runing status, the unit can do it everyday for you by SMS.

The optional backup battery is automatically charged, it can last 6hours when external power failure. When external power failure, the unit can send SMS to inform you immediately.

Various options can be programmed to it from any telephone and pc programming tool; password, timing of alarm, change the inputs¡¯ desription, edit the machine location, etc.
