The DISTO D8 incorporates a high resolution 2.4" digital color Point-finder display and 4x zoom for easy outdoor viewing of targets, a 360° angle sensor, and Bluetooth® data transfer capability. DISTO Transfer software with AutoCAD® plug-in allows for convenient planning and drawing with your AutoCAD® software. The long range mode allows for longer measurements in the 300 ft. range without a reflective target plate. A multifunction end piece provides for corner measurements or access to tight spaces. Shortcut keys and secondary functions calculate the following: area, volume, perimeter, wall area, angle ( degrees, slope, in/ ft) , area of trapezoid, area/ perimeter/ angles of triangles, three indirect tilt sensor measurement modes ( overall height of trees, power lines, towers, large structures; roof calculations, rafter length, roof slope; direct horizontal distance) , add/ subtract values, stake out equal distances, profile function, constant memory and last 30 values recall memory, three modes of Pythagoras, time delay, and min/ max/ continuous. Dust- and splash-proof to IP54 standards. Supplied with a holster, hand loop, 2 AA batteries, manual/ safety instructions, and quick start guide.
