Starch or amylum is a carbohydrate consisting of a large number of glucose units joined together by glycosidic bonds. This polysaccharide is produced by all green plants as an energy store. It is the most important carbohydrate in the human diet and is contained in such staple foods as potatoes, wheat, maize ( corn) , rice, and cassava. Pure starch is a white, tasteless and odorless powder that is insoluble in cold water or alcohol.

Usage:
Native Corn Starch is mainly used in food industry, confectionery industry, meat processing industry, bakery industry, fermentation industry, pharmaceutical industry, textile and paper industries in sizing, surface coating and adhesive application, chemical industry, oil drilling, etc. Because of its fine perfomance and lower cost.
Modified Corn Starch is mainly used as food addtives in making jam, sauces, soups, juices, milk, candies, noodles, meat, ham, sausage, pies, oyster oil, etc. As stabilizer and thickener to give the food higher quality, better appearance, better taste, better crispness and longer storage time. It can also be used in textile, paper and oil drilling industries.
