Chlorometer Duo

Chlorine and chlorine-release compounds are widely used for the disinfection or sterilization of water distribution systems and pipework, plant equipment in food processing and pharmaceutical factories, and similar applications. The chlorine levels used in these applications are higher than those normally applied for the simple disinfection of water. Accurate measurement of the chlorine level is necessary to ensure it is sufficient for the intended use.

The High/ Low Range Chlorometer is a hand-held chlorine meter with an exceptionally broad measurement range. The single instrument lets public utility engineers and contractors measure the high chlorine levels used for pipework sterilization as well as the low residual disinfectant levels in treated drinking water.

The High/ Low Range Chlorometer is calibrated to monitor residual chlorine using the USEPA-approved DPD standard method. This test reveals both free and total chlorine in the 0 - 5 mg/ litre range. The higher range test uses the well established iodine release technique for total chlorine analysis across the 0 - 200 mg/ litre range. Low range resolution is 0.01 mg/ litre and high range is 1 mg/ litre.
