Research in Indonesia continues to develop the manufacture of extracts or powders for topical medication for foreign drugs. While in Malaysia, the manufacture of creams and tablets has been done since time immemorial.

Pengajians center Pharmaceutical Science Universiti Sains Malaysia ( USM) has resulted in tablets and creams cure wounds of 1999 and also to make Prof Madya Dr Saringat Baie as the first to produce tablets of fish haruan.

According Saringat Baie, haruan has amino acids and fats that can heal the wounds in the stomach and is very good for treating gastric disease. Condition, haruan should haruan haruan wild and not farmed.

" Products in the form of a cream herb can heal wounds if smeared immediately to the wound. For the form of tablets can be used for women' s health, especially after childbirth, " said Saringat Baie as quoted by Metro Malaysia early 2000.
