Drill collars play a significant role in drilling and tapping of oil and natural gas. So far, drill collars of different specifications within the length of 12m have been developed and proven qualified by users, as provide the tapping of oil and natural gas with a reliable technical guarantee.
Materials of non-magnetic drill collars are from chrome manganese, low carbon austenific alloy obtained by combining a proprietary chemical analysis and a rotary hammer forging process. The material is resistant to stress corrosion cracking, with high mechanical properties, low magnetic permeability, excellent machinability and no tendency to galling.

Material of integral HWDP is from AISI 4145H high purity steel, fully heat treated. All physical properties conform with API SPEC 7 latest revised edition. Integral HWDP is an intermediate-weight drill string member with drill pipe dimensions for easier handing, and it reduce effectively stress between drill pipes and drill collars, meanwhile providing part of pressure of string. Its special extra-length tool joints are able to provide ample space for recutting the connection and rate of wear on the OD. The OD of the tube is also protected from Abraisive wear with a center wear pad.
Integral HWDP can easily solve problems arising in vertical holes in soft formation by replacing part if the drill collars, the advantages include:
