The USB-C5-LC extends one USB device up to 150 feet, and the USB-C5(-CE) extends four USB devices up to 100 feet. The USB extenders consist of two units, the local unit and the remote unit, which are interconnected with CAT5/5e/6 cable.

o When using certain MAC computers with USB-C5(-CE), the maximum extension is 75 feet.

Remote Unit

Warning!

* The USB-C5(-CE) and USB-C5-LC are not designed to be connected to an Ethernet card, Ethernet router, hub or switch or other Ethernet RJ45 connector of an Ethernet device. Damage to devices connected to the Ethernet may result.

Cables:

Interface Cables

* One-meter male USB Type A to male USB Type B interface cable included with USB-C5(-CE).
* Existing device cables with male Type A connector required.

Extension Cable

* Use CAT5, CAT5e or CAT6 UTP straight through cable for TIA/EIA-568B wiring terminated with standard RJ45 connectors (not included).

Extension Limits

* USB-C5-LC: extend CAT5/5e/6 up to 150 feet.
* USB-C5(-CE): extend CAT5/5e/6 up to 100 feet.
o When using certain MAC computers with USB-CS(-CE), the maximum extension is 75 feet.
* Use of CAT6 cable may decrease the maximum length of extension.
