The mission of establishing PT. Geo Daya Energi is in its concern over the lack of electricity in the suburbs, a low percentage of electrified area and high handicap due to the difficulties in obtaining fossil fuel and no transmission line from PLN.
This research was carried out due to the fact that many hydro power plant are being erected near the river whereas lots of trees are being cut down ( deforestation) and ruining the habitat of lives in the river. After 4 years of research PT. GDE has developed a system to be named as Hydro Power Injection System which is more applicable to the condition of Indonesia and its is very different from the conventional method used.
The hydro power injection system is non dependent to the water deposit and water speed, friendly user in which it is easily operated, friendly environment and sustainable as it does not depend on the seasons.
The system does not require huge space to produce electricity nor does it require huge power input. A space of 4m by 5m is sufficient to produce 200KWe and it requires only 20 KWe of input which is generated by a self generating power, which is also produced by PT. GDE
This unit can be used not only in suburb areas but also applicable for commercial buildings and industrial requirements. The turbines applied by PT. GDE are Cross Flow and Pelton, these depends much on the load to be used.
Aside from the hydro power system, PT. GDE also manufacture Garbigas which is applicable for household cooking or as engine fuel.
