ASTM A516 & ASME SA516 Standard Specification for Pressure Vessel Plates, Carbon Steel, for Moderate and Lower-Temperature Service. This specification’ covers carbon steel plates intended
primarily for service in welded pressure vessels where improved notch toughness is important.

A516 Grade55 usually shall be normalized if thickness above 40mm; if not, Gangsteel usual delivery in hot rolled or control rolled condition. A516 Gr.55+ N or A516 gr.55N means that steel grade must be normalized in any thickness.

Compared with A516 Grade 70, A516 Grade 65 & A516 Grade 60, A516 Grade 55 steel grade has lower property in tensile and yield strength. Gangsteel also supplies the Ultrasonic test in thickness in A435/ A435M, A577/ 577M and A578/ A578M to promise the perfect quality in long-term cooperation.
