Mainly used for measuring rated flow of liquid and gases.

- By -pass rotameter
The simplest & most common flow meter is a fixed Orifice in a pipeline. This Orifice creates a pressure differential (i.e. pressure drop) which is proportional to flow. But the flow rate versus differential pressure is a square root function, thus at the high end of the scale the graduations are far apart and very easy to read. At the low end of the scale, the graduations are so close together that reading becomes impossible. The net result is a meter with only a 3 OR 4 to 1 usable range.
The limited rangeability of this type of meter can be overcome by adding a bypass leg around the Orifice, which has a pressure drop equal to the drop across the Orifice and bypassed flow is directly proportional to the mainline flow. This results in a meter, which has a linear function and not a square root. Since the flow meter has a 10 to 1 range, the Orifice meter will now have a 10 to 1 linear flow range, which is as easy to read at the bottom as the top of the scale. This principle can be used virtually any pipeline size, handling almost any flow rate and metering either liquid OR gas. It is one of the most versatile meters available. Its only limitation is that the solid particles OR slurries can clog the Orifice and prevent proper operation.
BYPASS METERING COMPONENTS:
The Bypass flow meter consists of a mainline Orifice plate, a set of Orifice Flanges Or a carrier ring, a flow meter, range Orifice, Bypass piping with Isolation Valves.
(i) Mainline Orifice Plate: - The purpose of the mainline orifice plate is to create the pressure differential. As the flow rate varies across this mainline orifice, the pressure differential across this plate also varies and it is this variation, which makes the meter function.
(ii) Orifice Flanges / Carrier Ring: - Orifice flanges / carrier rings serve two functions. First, they hold the mainline orifice plate in the proper position within the pipeline. Secondly they channel a portion of the flow out of the high-pressure side of the orifice and return it again to the low-pressure side. This function may be accomplished with other than flange taps. The Bypass piping may be connected directly to the pipeline in the form of pipe taps, radius taps OR vena contracta taps.
(iii) Variable Area Flow Meter: - As discussed above, a flow meter (Glass Tube Rotameter) is placed in the Bypass piping to measure the bypass flow.
(iv) Range Orifice: - The range orifice is a small orifice placed in the bypass piping either before OR after the flow meter. This orifice is sized so that the total pressure drop through the bypass-piping equals the pressure differential across the mainline orifice.
(v) Bypass Piping: - The bypass piping connects the upstream side of the mainline taps to the inlet side of the flow meter and the downstream side of the mainline taps to the outlet of the flow meter. Since the pressure drop through the bypass piping has a direct bearing on the accuracy of the flow meter, it is necessary to keep the bypass piping as short as possible with as few fittings as possible.
- Acrylic Body Rotameter
DESCRIPTION :
FLOWTECH Acrylic Body Tube Variable Area Flow Meters (Rotameters) are intended for general in line metering applications (i.e. for Gas & Liquid) where operating conditions are with the limitations of Acrylic Body metering tubes. These are the principle of Variable Area. The float moves freely up and down tapered Acrylic body Tube with fluid flow from bottom to top. The float takes up a position where buoyancy forces and the float weight are balanced in proportion to flow rate. The Vertical position of the float as indicated by scale is the measure of the instantaneous flow rate.
- Multi Float Type Level Switch
Flowtech can offer Multipoint float level switch for larger tanks monitoring upto Eight independent levels in a single device. We can make a length upto 2000mm and using various Combination of floats depend upon the services , various mounting & materials.
With only single entry, this type of level controller can track changing levels within the tanks
as well as monitoring liquid interfaces of dissimiliar liquids in single tank line oil- water separations, chemical emulsions or condensation levels. We can also provide thermostatic switches for temperature control.

FLOWTECH Metal Tube Variable Area Flow Meters (Rotameters) are intended for application where high pressure, temperature OR corrosive conditions preclude the use of conventional glass tube. These are all Metal Variable Area type Flowmeter design to measure flow rate of liquids, gases & steam under critical conditions. It consists of a tapered metal tube, an indicating assembly and a float. A magnet encapsuled in float couples with rotating magnets connected to an indicating pointer, thus the movement of the float, is accurately indicated in terms of flowrate.

Flowtech Instruments Services offers Magnetic Level Gauges in top-bottom, top and side mounted construction with two types of indicator system i.e. Capsule and Bi-colour Rollers. Magnetic Level Gauge is consists of three major components: Float Chamber, Float and Indicator System. - Displacer Level Switch
DESCRIPTION :
FLOWTECH Displacer Type Level Switch works on Force Balance Principle. Displacer is suspended by a spring. When liquid level rises and covers the displacer, it becomes lighter and the spring relaxes. This causes a small upward movement of the rod assembly inside the casing which activates the magnetically operated micro switch. Magnetically linked float & switch design providers a glandless Connection & ensure a leak free design.
Such switches can handle liquids with have specific gravity as low as 0.5

DESCRIPTION :
“FLOWTECH” offer Float & Board Type Tank Level gauge (indicator) suitable for large non – pressurized liquid storage tanks / vessels. The Specific Gravity of the fluid should be more than 0.6. Float is available in different material S.S.304/ S.S.316/ P.P./ Teflon etc. In this level gauge,
the float is design as per the specific gravity of the liquid, floating on the liquid levels. This float connected to a pointer through Rope via a Sets of Pulleys, The pointer slides over a CM marked Board, Installed Parallel to the tank. For more than 3 metre height of the tank we provide two guide wires firmly anchored to the tank bottom. So that horizontal movement of the float is restricted.
DESIGN FEATURE :
“FLOWTECH” also offers vapour Seal Type float & Board type level Gauge which is generally used for tanks having corrosive fumes / vapours OR N¬2 [Nitrogen] Purging tanks. In this level gauge the float is connected to a magnetized counter weight moving in a sealed S.S. pipe & which drives a follower magnetized bi - colour capsule inside a glass tube to indicate liquid level.
PERFORMANCE :
Float Inside the tank raises and dails with the level of fluid this makes the pointer mobe one the scale indicating level inside the tank. In this level gauge, when tank is full the pointer is at bottom position on board and when tank is empty, the pointer will be at top position.
